Facebook for Everyone

Mark Zuckerberg is a name I never knew before reading this article. Facebook, however, is a daily addiction for many people. Zuckerberg is the creator of the site, which a few years ago was only open to college students. Recently, Facebook has become more widespread, as its creator wanted it to. I now have relatives from near and far “friending” me on the social network. Even some of my cousins in Italy have become members on the site. I think it is pretty amazing how many people are members of this site.

Facebook is different from other social networks because it is meant to reconnect people with old friends and/or relatives, not make new friends. The site has definitely changed throughout the 4 years (this summer) that I have it. New applications are available to make it more interactive and fun, but in my opinion, I miss the old Facebook. It seems every other month the layout is different. This can be confusing, and may deter users.
